It all started with Kelly's passion for food where she opened the Farmer's Kitchen in 2011. This little business grew and along came Ivan and his love for behind the bar along with great company, and together they envisioned a place where people could gather, enjoy delicious meals, drink the finest craft beer and create lasting memories where they feel at home. With a combined background in culinary arts and hospitality, they decided to turn their dream into reality, and thus, The Thirsty Scarecrow was born in 2013

Kelly, with her creative flair and exceptional talent in the kitchen, brings a menu full of delectable dishes that range from mouth-watering tapas and dishes bringing back different flavours from her travels around the world

Ivan, with his charismatic personality creates an inviting and energetic atmosphere. His expert knowledge of beverages—from craft beers to exquisite wines and spirits—make every visit to The Thirsty Scarecrow a memorable one.

Together, Kelly and Ivan pour their hearts into every detail of their business. They were married in 2019 and spend their free time with their dogs and horses on the farm. ​
